2009-07-03: Mexican Flu (Swine Flue) at RoboCup 2009

Graz, 2009-07-03, 22:05 – During the RoboCup Banquette, the organisers of the RoboCup World Championships 2009 confirmed that a member of a RoboCup team was infected with the swine flu virus A/H1N1. The nevertheless didn’t give any more concrete or specific information (presumably in order to keep the situation calm). According to them, the team has been isolated, is under medical supervision, and the RoboCup World Championships will go on as planned. The ORF has published an article on this topic as well.

There is no reason to be concerned. The responsible authority has made and cares about all the necessary arrangements.

They provided a letter with information on how to behave and how to identify a flu infection. I’ve attached the letter we got (in German only).
